Players to watch: Longhorns relying on offensive, defensive stars this season AUSTIN (KXAN) - With expectations as high as they've been in years, Texas football enters the season with hopes of leaving the Big 12 as conference champions. Source: Vikings to sign running back Myles Gaskin It didn’t take long for the Vikings to make some tweaks to their initial 53-man roster.A source confirmed to the Pioneer Press on Wednesday morning that the Vikings plan to sign veteran running back Myles Gaskin after he was released by the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday afternoon. ESPN insider Adam Schefter was first to report the deal.The move will provide the Vikings with with some much needed depth in the backfield. Though it will still be Alexander Mattison serving as starter — the coaching staff is very high on him this season — Gaskin figures to compete with Ty Chandler and Kene Nwangwu for playing time as the primary backup.The 5-foot-10, 195-pound Gaskin has played in 38 games in his career. Spanish Lake woman arrested after demanding child support money at knifepoint ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A Spanish Lake woman is accused of breaking into the father of her child's home and demanding child support at knifepoint.According to Berkeley Police, the man woke up to find 31-year-old Jalissa Brandon standing over him with a knife and his cell phone, screaming at him to pay child support. The man escaped, and Brandon left with his cell phone, which she used to transfer $7,500 from his account into her account. St. Charles County Executive says residents taking unfair advantage of flood buyout program Brandon was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and unlawful use of a weapon. She remains jailed on a $75,000 cash-only bond.It's unknown if the man actually owed child support.
